Please read an important notice on fraudulent recruitment communications.
Take care to avoid fraudulent communications purporting to be on behalf of companies within the Canacol Group. Recent incidents have occurred involving organizations falsely claiming to recruit on behalf of Canacol. These organizations, purporting to either work for or be affiliated with Canacol, often request the applicant to divulge personal information and/or provide some form of payment.
Please note that Canacol does not (nor do any of the organizations that recruit on our behalf) ever ask for money or payments from applicants at any point in the recruitment process nor would we collect personal information such as passport numbers during the application process. All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from Canacol, whether directly or indirectly are always required to go through a formal recruitment process including an in-person interview.
Noticeable points of such communications are that the communications come from non-Canacol e-mail addresses (e.g. from a yahoo.com or Gmail address or canacolcaenergy.com); the use of English is poor; and that money is requested at some stage. If you receive such proposals, we would advise you to contact your local police station and provide them with all information you may have from the senders (email addresses, phone/fax details, etc.).
Canacol complies with all legislation related to the privacy and confidentiality of personal information following Canadian and Alberta standards.
By electronically submitting your resume to Canacol you consent to:
- The use of information in your resume to determine your suitability for a position;
- Canacol contacting any references that you provide on your resume or during your interview process; and
- Canacol retaining your resume for a period of six months to consider your eligibility for other positions that may become available in the future.
